“The market is driven by consumer demand for lower prices.”

Do you think that is still true?

Especially in the past few months?

And what about those markets where companies have a monopoly or quasi-monopoly? Aren’t those markets more driven by the companies trying to maximize their win?

Some say that we have to change the way we teach economics; our understanding of economics. Markets are more global, but so are companies and buyers.

“The market is driven by consumer demand for lower prices.”
It sure is a catchy headline! But it also does leave a lot out: Branding, customer loyalty, etc.

Why do you think so many use this headline?
