When An Ass Is More Important Than A Life or Walter Reed And Leadership

© Copyright Frank D. Kanu 2000-2008

If you have followed the news of the past few days you are well aware of what happened to the Veterans at Walter Reed and many other hospitals. Some might even think they were treated better by the enemy…

I think that what Is going on there is the perfect example of how leadership shouldn’t be: Looking for someone to blame; lay off that person and then move on… It pretty much seems that all what happened to the Veterans was nothing more than a handful of folks concerned about their fat behinds.

Do you think that firing a General actually does fix the problem?

Do you think that anyone within the “leadership” has an idea how to solve this whole mess?

What would you do?

One of the Staff Sergeants that lost his eye testified before Congress, that it was wrong for the Army Secretary to be allowed to retire, soldiers could not retire and had to finish out the job, so the Army Secretary should clean up his mess too.

Wouldn’t you agree?

It’s pretty much an example of how bureaucracy screws things up. It doesn’t matter who is in charge, it is how the government works. Good thing we don’t all have to deal with socialized medicine
