		<description>The bottom line is communicate with the person, who is more than an employee. 

That is not so easy when it must never be forgotten that managing is very lonely, you cannot have a friend when you hold power and control over them. That would not be a fair relationship.

I agree with Coleen, simple honest recognition is often enough, especially if it is public. Too many say one thing in private and nothing in public, perhaps even stealing recognition for themselves.</description>
