That’s an easy one

200 grams butter
2 eggs
200 grams sugar
200 grams flour
herbs and spices as you like.

Stir the butter until white, add the eggs and then slowly add the sugar. Then the flour.

The secret is that you really need to mix the ingredients for a long long time. At least ten minutes for the butter, then an additional ten when adding the eggs and so on.
Thank God we have electrical mixers!

Bake at 375 for around 40 minutes.
