With the world growing more and more together and getting more global, being on top of laws is always important. My friend Karel is not only a gifted lawyer but we also share the same passion: Writing books.
His newest book—written in Dutch—deals with this new Corporate Act* as well as the Corporate Act of Aruba.
* The law of the Netherlands Antilles (part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands) is in full swing. On March 1, 2004 the new act on corporate law (Book 2 Civil Code) became effective. This Act governs a.o. the NV (”public limited liability company”) and BV (”private limited liability company”).

The legacy of knowledge is the greatest heritage of every age.
My leading lady is an attorney who is actually a real Princess and called the “Princess of the Nigerian Bar”. But, she needs more push to write books in Nigeria where the Law is really an ass. Because of the abuse and misuse of the Rule of Law. And our lawyers are scared of the ruling kleptocrats in power.
