paid book blog?

© Copyright Frank D. Kanu 2000-2008

We all know there are subscription based e-zines. But what a bout a subscription based book? Is that even any different?

  • Would you be willing and interested to pay for a blog from the author of a book?

  • Getting the book as a blog instead of printed?

  • Does the option to discuss the book chapters directly with the author add an option?

  • How much would you be willing to pay for such a service?

I’ve started blogging a book, it’s basically the unedited first draft, but
I’ve found that a lot of people enjoy reading the story. You can check it out here http://mabisproject.blogspot.com .

I’ve put some thought into what you’re asking a few months ago.
During my search I found a site called pixelpass that would allow you to charge subscriptions or one time fee’s very easily.

I have aquired quite a fan base from blogging the book. I post three pages per entry, anymore than that is too much. Bloggers enjoy reading short post due to TIME.

So if you ask me, there are people that will read the stories.

    Hi Frank,

I like reading printed versions, which I can easily take with me.

But discussing a book with its author might be interesting. On the other hand, most authors have personal websites and can easily be contacted.

So I won’t subscribe to any blog that costs me money.

    Kind regards,

    Karel Frielink

Because I value your thoughtful opinions, I encourage you to add them.
