I Don’t Want To Be Rude

Some days ago someone send me a message expressing his interest to network. I asked for a good time to have a chat and receive this answer:

“…but, and I don’t want to seem rude, why would you be interested in me?”

Well, duh—you contacted me in the first place!

Do you think, that this person was
 
just rude (37%)
doesn’t know how to network (30%)
had a bad day (15%)
made an honest mistake (11%)
doesn’t know how to network and was rude (7%)
