Have you ever been bankrupt?

© Copyright Frank D. Kanu 2000-2008

There is an old saying in Germany that you will never make it in business if you haven’t been bankrupt at least once.

Wow.

Can you imagine yourself being bankrupt?

Too many people only look at the financial bankruptcy and leave out the emotional ones—like a divorce.

A bankruptcy can be a wonderful learning experience. Not only for those who went thru that experience but also for us who are willing to listen and to learn. Lately it seems that less and less people are willing to share—too many consider a bankruptcy a negative experience; a black spot on their otherwise white vest.

Many years ago I met a business man in Germany who would never partner in business with someone who had not been financially bankrupt before: “They are just not careful enough and I do not want to go down that route again.”

Have you ever been bankrupt?

Well, I don’t know about the bankrupt part, but I certainly agree about being careful with the expenses. Cash flow is king in most small businesses.

By the way, you have the most interesting name for your blog — I love it!

    Best,

    Anita

Because I value your thoughtful opinions, I encourage you to add them.
