February 1st, 1960, four black college students began a sit-in protest at a lunch counter in Greensboro, N.C., where they had been refused service.
A spokesman for the Greensboro Police Department (GPD) explained in an interview that it would be the responsibility of out-staters to prove that they were indeed disabled.
Way to go Greensboro!
