And just in case you do not know anything about Greensboro, NC:
February 1st, 1960 external, four black college students external began a sit-in external protest at a lunch counter in Greensboro, N.C., where they had been refused service.

A spokesman for the Greensboro Police Department (GPD) explained in an interview that it would be the responsibility of out-staters to prove that they were indeed disabled.

Way to go Greensboro!

    There are many places (not just in the US) where cities will do everything to solve their budget problems with increased parking fees. But some will always stand out:
