Giuliani - did you needed that?
Up until now I thought that Rudolph W. Giuliani was a better leader than some others. Don’t get me wrong—I like what Giuliani did in NYC; I have met him at a seminar where he spoke. But does he really need to get that low?
“If one of them gets elected, it sounds to me like we’re going on the defense,” he said. “We’ve got a timetable for withdrawal from Iraq. We’re going to wave the white flag there. We’re going to try to cut back on the Patriot Act. We’re going to cut back on electronic surveillance. We’re going to cut back on interrogation. We’re going to cut back, cut back, cut back, and we’ll be back in our pre-September 11 mentality of being on defense.”
Actually—that means the Americans get back what has been taken from them step by step since 9/11: Their Privacy.
Let’s not forget: We are a democracy. When the majority of the American people believe (like they expressed in the last elections) that the course the Republicans and President Bush have taken is not right - then that is their right! That has nothing to do with waiving a white flag. I for one am sick of an accomplished mission that causes the lives of American soldiers—almost daily.
There are countless cases about the misuse of the Patriot Act.

How can changing it—and the way it can be misused—be a bad thing?

Really?
