Florida: Legislature Poses Danger for Homeschoolers

The Home School Legal Defense Association sent me this me an e-mail with proposed changes in FL.
What really caught my attention is this:
> S.B. 360 & H.B. 277: Compulsory Attendance Increase. These bills would raise the compulsory attendance age from 16 to 18, requiring children to attend school for two more years. In addition, H.B. 277 would tie renewal of a driver’s license to attending school for these two additional years.
Besides ensuring that the public school system get’s more students=more money - what will this do for students?
Experience with legislators has shown that once you reach them your little finger they rip out your arm… Today it’s the students who have to prove that they went to school long enough to get their licensed renewed. And tomorrow?

Do you think it makes any sense to have the amount of years one went to school bond to the drivers license?
Don’t we all know a great many people who drive good/bad despite their education?
