More and more companies see the value to offer their customers a complaints department. After all, there is the old saying that keeping an existing customer is seven times less expensive than getting a new customer.
Still, most complaint departments are detached inside the company: Complaints stay inside the department and will not passed on.
Some companies have the rule that every employee—including upper management—has to answer the phone to handle complaints. Think they have an advantage over those who don’t?
