Another great Dutch book: De Propere Organisatie. Een integraal model voor professioneel én persoonlijk samenwerken!
Proper means professional as well as personal. Both are needed for a successful change. If there is only focus on professionalism in an organization, we tend to forget that it’s people who implement and realize changes. The employees need to understand the impact of the change. What are they supposed to do different? People can only behave differently if it is clear what is expected of them. If only the human impact is considered, they forget that some business changes need to be accomplished. For instance, there ought to be some clear measurements while adapting internal systems.
This is also true for personal changes. If there is only a focus on professionalism and on work, there will be no sustained change in the physical, mental and emotional levels.
Surveys have indicated that the most successful organizations pay equal attention to business and to people. There are also surveys which indicate that holistic (meaning: professional and personal) coaching is most needed and effective.
Therefore the proper approach is really needed. The consequence is that people work with lots of fulfilment, effectiveness and fun in organisations.
Financial improvement will also result.
