Lately there have been a lot of trackbacks to my blog - all from unethical sploggers.
Most of those “blogs” are nothing else than bots that repost the rss feed of other blogs. Usually starting with:
“Check it out!” or xxx has an interesting posting
The thinking is to increase the search engine ranking of their splog by using postings with the keywords they want to use for their advertisement; basically making money from the bloggers hard work. And really annoying in the case of those bloggers that only have a little advertisement or no advertisement at all.
And while there are a lot of lists out there that claim to only have the sploggers listed—others and I have seen wrong entries more than just once.
Anyway, since the sploggers do not even care about copyright and legal disclaimers (isn’t it funny how often their entries have somebody else’s copyright note in it?) and neither do some of the hosts—I’ve started to block IPs.
Again.
