Color Conscious?

A proud father tells others how his six year old daughter has now become color conscious.
I don’t know about you—but I find this remark made in the 21st century pretty darn out of place. Since in our day and age people still think that way about other humans isn’t it obvious that education has failed? And politics that makes the education; but without real leadership—what can one expect?
Personally I really hate it when people talk about different races—despite the skin color—aren’t we all humans?
