Chicken Or No Chicken - That Is The Question

Today the FDA announced that we can eat the chicken that got feed with small amounts of contaminated pet food:
Unfortunately that does not take into consideration, that one might get melamine with other foods.
But for me the bigger question is how much can one trust a Federal agency that:
