"Frank's skill in asking the right questions is un-mistakable, and is at the core of his leadership philosophy.

The power of these questions cannot be underestimated, especially if you want to lead and not manage."

Can you admit your wrong doing?

Bessemer Venture Partners put up an Anti-Portfolio:
“We chose to decline the investments below, each of which we had the opportunity to invest in, and each of which later blossomed into a tremendously successful company.” Those companies include Apple, ebay, FedEx, Google and Intel - to name just a few.

What a wonderfully bold move - especially in a time when to many think that admitting a mistake is the biggest mistake one might make. And heaven forbids to learn from it.

Can you admit your wrong doings?

Man, Frank. I think I could fill an entire blog with all of the investment and trading mistakes I’ve made! I’ve read/heard others say you should avoid admitting mistakes - and I think that’s a big mistake. I get suspicious of people who seem never to have made a bad move. I’d rather hear “I have to admit that I’ve blown it a few times, but here’s what I learned from it and how the lesson can profit both me and you.”

    Thanks for posting!

    Yes Tom.

There is a saying in Germany that you can only make it in business when you have been bankrupt at least once…

Because I value your thoughtful opinions, I encourage you to add them.
