Personally I like this quote the most:
I have also experienced companies where the productivity and creativity went downhill after putting the programming team into cubicles. One place even right across the help desk people—the noise level was unbelievable. According to the upper management since the programmers don’t make the money in the company they do not deserve offices. Ignoring the fact that without programmers there would not have been a product to sell in the first place.
