Are you ready to lead?

© Copyright Frank D. Kanu 2000-2008

Can you easily come up with answer and solutions?

  • The teams you are a member of value your opinion.

  • You stand for what you are convinced of.

  • You value the opinion of team members as…

  • Can you motivate yourself and others?

  • You have an important appointment coming up but need to make a fast decision. What do you do?

  • A vital presentation has been re-scheduled: Two days earlier. You are not ready to go. What do you do?

  • During a team meeting a co-worker criticizes your work. How do you react?

  • Two co-workers suddenly got sick—leaving you with worked piled up. How do you handle the situation?

  • Lately a usually reliable co-worker makes a lot of mistakes. What are you going to do?

  • What does: “Employees are the most important asset of a company” mean to you?

You can easily find many of these tests on- and offline. Sometimes with multiple choice answers, sometimes open. Wouldn’t you agree that many will easily have answers? And most of the times the right answers?

So, what is different when you lead?

Stress!

How many tests have you done—when you were really stressed out?

How did that influence the outcome?
