Are IT Workers Becoming a Rarity?
Recent studies show that fewer and fewer sign up for computer science and related degrees; companies have started to complain that is getting harder to find the right person for the job.
Isn’t it true that some of those companies have pushed outsourcing—having a great many believe that IT jobs are now nothing more than an ejection seat towards unemployment or change of profession? Isn’t it true that schools have tried to push for IT professions: “Do you want to make the big bucks?”; now many find out that with the right passion you are never going to make the big bucks?

I myself was going towards an IT career, I’m in university right now earning a degree in fact. However, I personally find myself much more interested with the business and marketing aspects of the web, instead of coding a giant, detailed web 2.0 application.
Maybe some of these IT prospectives are realizing their are better ways to make money than working for a corporation.
Of course, low job security doesn’t help either
