Unbeknownst to me we must have entered the area of a major washer shortage.

What happened, you wonder?

This past weekend my family and I went to one of the many public parks. It’s a beautiful, big park with multiple lakes and beaches.

Little did I know!

The kids—of course—were most interested in joining the fun in the water. That’s when things got bizarre. Have you ever been at a beach where it seemed to be custom to get in the water—fully dressed?

Yup—you read that right, fully dressed. As in wearing pants, shirts, shoes…

Disgusting!

Don’t they have washers at home? Aren’t there Laundromats?

Besides that, the young teenage girls looked like they took part in a wet t-shirt contest. Just—there has never been one with kids of all ages around, right?

And don’t get me even started on the young men or all the folks who definitely passed the big 50. Yes, you guessed it: Fully dressed. Not just on the beach but also in the water.

I am sure that each and every one dressed in swim clothes felt more than just awkward.

I’ve been at many pools and beaches in my life, but people fully dressed in the water?

Have you ever seen something like that before?
