Enhance Your Leadership Skills

33. Remember Your Roots

There are a great many stories about those that have forgotten where they came from. How they become lonely and unsuccessful… For the leader it is important to remember that they started out like everyone else.

Where did you come from?

Have you forgotten?

Remember: We are all born equal: Naked and hungry for love, attention and milk.

The competitor to be feared is one who never bothers about you at all, but goes on making his own business better all the time.

Enhance Your Leadership Skills—Be Honest

Enhance Your Leadership Skills

32. Be Honest

First, true leaders don’t lie (intentionally). The will admit when they have been wrong—no matter what.

Second, true leaders always keep their promises.
An honest man’s word is as good as his bond.
Miguel de Cervantes

Are you honest?

Do you admit your mistakes?

Remember: Honesty is the best policy.

Something to be ashamed about?

Yesterday the U.S. Senate denied a cloture motion on a bill to allow the District of Columbia two voting U.S. Senators. Facts, the District has a population of 581,530 to Wyoming’s 515,004. The district has no representation in the senate, and can only send a single representative to the house, who cannot vote.

Do you think it’s right?

Democratic?
